Tyler Searfoss received an invitation for the GENIUS Olympiad due to the fact that he qualified for the competition last year and is invited for subsequent years. This year would be in person in Rochester, NY. The event is sponsored by the Rochester Institute of Technology, which pays for the students' costs while at RIT. The entry deadline is in March.
Tyler received a digital colorimeter and chemical supplies from Hach Chemicals to support his analysis of phosphates and nitrates in field effluents to better determine the scope of water quality associated with agricultural communities.
Way to go Tyler!
